This policy explains what information GUTTERS CONSTRUCTION CORP (“ART ROOFING,” “we,” “us”) collects when you visit our website, respond to one of our ads, contact us or hire us, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We are a roofing and exterior contractor based in Albany, New York.
It covers this website, our contact form, and the information we receive by phone, email, text message and in person. Use of the website is also governed by our Terms of Use.
Information we collect
- When you contact us: your name, phone number, email, property address, the service you are interested in and anything you write in your message. If you check the text message box on our form, we also record that you agreed, when, and the exact wording you agreed to.
- How you found us: if you tell us — for example that you saw an ad, searched online, were referred by someone or found us on social media — our team notes it with your inquiry.
- When you become a customer: details about your property and the work, photos of the property taken during inspections, estimates, contracts and signatures, invoices and payment records, and — if your project involves an insurance claim — the claim details you share with us, such as your carrier, policy and claim numbers and your adjuster’s contact information.
- Communications: emails and text messages exchanged with us, and notes our team keeps about calls and visits.
- Technical information: when you submit a form, we record the time, your IP address and browser type to protect the form from spam and abuse. Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, pages requested and time) for security and to keep the site running.
We do not collect payment card numbers through this website.
Where it comes from
- From you, when you fill in our form, call, email or text us, or talk to our team.
- From your insurance company or adjuster, when you ask us to help with a claim.
- From people who refer you to us, such as a neighbor, a property manager or a real estate agent.
- From advertising platforms, only if you respond to one of our ads by filling in a form inside that platform (for example, a lead form on Facebook or Instagram). In that case the platform passes us the information you entered in that form, and nothing else.
Advertising
We advertise our services on platforms such as Google (Search and YouTube), Facebook and Instagram, and on other websites and directories. When you see or click one of those ads, the platform showing it may collect information about you under its own privacy policy and the settings you have with it. We do not control that collection. This website does not use advertising pixels, conversion tags or analytics tools. Arriving here from an ad does not report your visit, or anything you do on this site, back to the platform that showed the ad. We do not send the information you submit through our form to advertising platforms, and we do not upload customer lists to them.
Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. This website uses only cookies that are strictly necessary for it to work: the sign-in cookies our team members receive when they log in to the staff area of the site. Visitors who do not log in do not receive them, and the spam protection on our contact form does not use cookies.
We do not use advertising, tracking, retargeting or analytics cookies, and we do not allow third parties to place them through our website. Because there is nothing optional to accept or decline, we do not show a cookie banner. You can still block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the public pages of this site work without them.

Text messages (SMS)
If you agree to receive text messages from us — for example by checking the box on our contact form or by telling a member of our team — we will text you about your inquiry, appointments, your project, your insurance claim and payments. We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. This applies to every recipient listed in the next section: the providers that deliver our text messages use your number only to deliver them.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising (ads targeted at you based on your activity across other websites and apps). We share it only as needed to do the work you hired us for:
- Your insurance company and adjuster, when you ask us to help with a claim.
- Subcontractors and suppliers who perform or supply part of your project, limited to what they need to do it.
- Manufacturers, to register product warranties on your behalf.
- Service providers that run our systems on our behalf — website and database hosting, file storage, email and text message delivery, and software tools (including AI tools) that help our team draft messages and read documents. They may use the information only to provide those services to us.
- Authorities, when the law requires it, and professional advisors (such as lawyers and accountants) when needed to protect our rights.
- A successor business, if our company is sold or merged, under the same protections described here.
How long we keep it
We keep customer records for as long as needed to perform the work, honor warranties and meet our legal, tax and insurance obligations. Inquiries that do not become projects are kept for a shorter period and then deleted or anonymized.
Security
Access to customer information is limited to our team members who need it for their role, behind individual logins. Information is encrypted in transit. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect what you share with us, and if a security incident affects your information we will notify you as New York law requires.
Your choices and rights
- You can ask us what information we have about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, using the contact details below. We may need to keep some records where the law requires it, or to finish work you hired us for.
- Reply STOP to any text message to stop receiving texts.
- Ask us at any time to stop emailing you about anything other than work in progress.
- Residents of some states have additional privacy rights under their state’s law. You can exercise any of them through the same contact details, and we will respond within the time that law sets.
To protect you, we may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request — usually by checking it against the contact details we already have. You may use an authorized agent, who will need to show your permission. We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.

Our website and messages may link to other websites — such as our social media pages, manufacturers or review sites. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which this policy does not cover.
Children
Our services are for property owners and managers. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new effective date. If a change affects how we use information we already have, we will tell customers directly before it applies.
